  • Acute onset in chronic disease.
  • Patient's medical history shows treatment by more than 1 doctor.
  • Any presence of comorbid factor → refer to emergency room.

Treatment & Management[edit]

  1. Anti-inflammtion
    • Steroid: methylprednisolon
      • Continuous steroid inhalation.
  2. Bronchodilator
    • Beta-agonist, and anticholinergic inhalation.
    • Bronchodilator inhalation is taken as needed.
  3. Antibiotics
    • Only for infection ie. when present with febrile and leukocytosis.
  4. Do not treat with mucolytic.
