Batch 2011[edit]

  1. In sympathetic response, peripheral arteries contract due to Beta-1. (not sure)
  2. Which one is specifically a beta-2 sympathomimetic? Salbutamol.
  3. Which one is specifically a beta-1 sympathomimetic? Dobutamine.
  4. Prostigmine will cause radial muscle of the eye to contract.

Batch 2011 Regular[edit]

  1. This experiment studies the blood vessels in conjunctiva.
  2. Prostigmine: acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.
  3. Pilocarpine: pupil constriction.
  4. Atropine sulfate: anticholinergic, blocks muscarine.
  5. Midriasis: atropine sulfate.
  6. Terazocin: selective alpha-sympatholytic (alpha adrenoceptor antagonist or alpha blocker).
  7. Pilocarpine hydrochloride 0.001%.
  8. Sympathetic neurotransmitter: acetylcholine.

  1. Glands: muscarine.
  2. Parasympathetic: bronchial tree contraction.
  3. Parasympathetic: sphincter muscle of iris contracts.
