Spectrophotometer

A spectrophotometer is a device used to calculate the concentration of a substance within a sample solution. Since each substance has its own unique absorbance value (for example iron is absorbed at 500nm wavelength), this value must be entered into the spectrophotometer. Spectrophotometry is often used in labs, especially during Biochemistry labs.
