The ITAS/KITAS is like a student visa. It is obtained immediately after arriving in Yogyakarta and the paperwork is facilitated by IOSS.

KITAS[edit]
Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas (Temporary Stay Permit Card). The yellow card that you will be given. Must be kept in the passport.
The II marked at the top-left corner indicates that this ITAS/KITAS is the second one issued to this person. The ITAS/KITAS expires every year and can be extended yearly and also for two years at a time.
Now, an e-KITAS ("for electronic use only") plastic card is issued instead of the yellow card.
